About this deal

I haven't yet discerned a whole lot of other individual notes (except maybe the soft musk) in this but I'm fine with that, as it's a typical Morillas fragrance in the respect that, while the other notes are doubtless there--this does smell woody too and is no thin, toppy citrus bomb--pretty much everything is done in moderation so the user wears the fragrance and not vice versa. Do not buy this unless you've givven this a full wear on skin. It smells much different on skin than on paper, and evolves quite a bit after the first few hours. Neroli in perfumes varies from very floral to very citrusy. Bvlgari Man Wood Neroli has the more citrusy kind but the floral aspect is still definitely present. TF Neroli Portofino comparisons are spot on, it's very similar. Starting to just love Bvlgari. Bvlgari Man is new to me. Bvlgari is just always up to mischief(read: innovation and daring). Always so chic. Mancera and Montale are in the same league of big- balled innovation. Comin' at Ya. Francesca Bianchi is so elegant and always up to mischief in the fun sense. I find a one squirt or two on each flat of the arm creates a delightful waft with more inclinations to good wholesome wood and less earthy, biologic fragrances. Go harder and the styrax asserts itself. Go harder and the entire scent is just much more lively and so much more radical. Hot, just plain hot. You might like it. Huh?

Performance though, is pretty poor, and unfortunately it’s all downhill after the opening. For me the lovely opening of this goes away after about 30 mins or so and from then on you get a very faint and uninspiring woodsy, musky skin scent that doesn’t project much at all.

My Account

Classic Neroli fragrances just don't really want to fit a younger person, that must be due to the granny association and 4711, a curse so to speak, made in Germany. What a pity, because basically I like this note very much. So, it's not unusual for many men's fragrances out there (1990's onwards) to have a "frozen" or "ice" theme. In this case, it's an icy fresh themed take by Bvlgari for men. I am just completing my second full day wearing Bvlgari Man Terrae Essence and I am very pleased after blind buying this fragrance in a n airport duty free. It might offer better performance as well... it does on my skin, altho itself stays closer to the skin after the projection dies down.

A feeling of deep leather is here, but plays second fiddle to the main accord, which I would describe as "burnt earth and leaves". They regarded it a priori as their noblest duty to drive their fellow men to weariness and make them the object of their well-meant but unspeakably tiresome educational efforts. So far, although, yes, the spray nozzle feels fragile, I really like this. It has plenty of lean Mediterranean-style citrus and, although I'm not a big fan of aquatics, I do like a good ambergris accord--why I almost wore Issey Intense instead--and the one here really appeals to me. I get why some people might find it out of place here, but it is not a heavy or dirty ambergris and I find it works very well in underpinning the citrus with a different kind of freshness or marine tang that to me does not seem out of place in a fragrance that is very obviously Mediterranean (semi-barbershop) in style. A previous review mentioned 'old women' in reference to this scent and I can see where that's coming from. However to put it in a less negative context Wood Neroli recalls certain scents from a bygone era, an era when 'young women' (and even some men) would've worn something similar. I believe it's the neroli which is responsible for this. I'm a firm believer that people should wear what they enjoy, but this is too masculine for me to swing it comfortably (again, just my opinion), it's not something I would claim is unisex or feel like wearing myself.

There is NOTHING not safe or rough in this fragrance, maybe for people who only ever smelled something like BDC EDT, i would say even Sauvage is more rough on the nose than this.

Shame that the opening doesn’t last longer or punch more, because it really is a fantastic opening. I guess since this stuff can be found for pretty cheap it’s not a bad deal if you enjoy that opening and just want to keep reapplying, but personally I wasn’t blown away by the overall experience, and I think there are nicer, longer lasting Neroli based fragrances than this one.Overall this is very unique but I do think the composition is somewhat messy in that the sour apple, sugar, and green/wood notes kind of all mash together as it dries down and they each become less prominent and pronounced as the fragrance progresses. But overall I like this a lot Who, he asked himself further, was inclined to voluntarily buy and open such a brew, to become an everlasting nefarious ... no, but rather a quite nefarious harassment of innocent passers-by, street trees and the latter's inherent bird life? The book of Genesis said that man was formed from the dust of the earth before life was breathed into him. Bvlgari's Terrae Essence smells to me of the earth. Not soil, or the things that were grown in it, but the earth itself. Perhaps I'm a bit too philosophical. But wearing BMTE makes me feel more human. Not as if I'm trying to make you notice me. The scent feels so natural that its hard to detect at times. And yet because its a eau de parfum, its sublime character lasts a good 8 plus hours on my skin. And for these reasons I really love this fragrance. A tribute to Bvlgari’s Italian roots …Inspired by the wildness of coastal Italy, Bvlgari Man Wood Neroli takes the earthiness of the Man Wood Essence fragrance and turns it toward the sun, infusing it with a solar luminosity to create a new connection between man and nature … Bvlgari Man Wood Neroli Eau de Parfum is for the urban man in tune with his environment. Inspired by the power of the Mediterranean sun and developed by Master Perfumer Alberto Morillas, top notes of neroli and bergamot flow through the cedarwood heart to release a dazzling energy in our latest creation”.
