The events that unfold are so beautifully paced, in a way that by the end you have no idea what is coming next because all of your expectations were thrown out the window. One can also see the film Halloween being an influence on this series considering how Johan is much like Michael Myers, especially with the ending which I won't spoil here.

I adore the way Urasawa can intertwine secondary characters and side stories along Tenma's journey without losing tension.
