I’m needing something that is metal geared, can hold up to fairly thick leather, whilst still being effective and neat with silk chiffon, and that can be easily put away on a shelf and is fairly quiet as I will be in a dorm room for the first year. It can handle more layers with some hand wheel assistance and I've gone through 10 layers but it absolutely needs some hand assist on that many layers. HD3000 is easy to operate, and it can be used for the variety of sewing projects to produce professional quality results.
